Brain Research Day at the Canadian Parliament

SBMT board member, the Honorable Kirsty Duncan, a member of Canadian Parliament, organized a Brain injury Research Day at the Canadian Parliament focusing on educating Canadian law makers about the state-of-the-art science, technology and brain policy in neuroscience.

Geoffery Ling - Professor and Vice Chairman of the Neurology Department, and Director of the Division of Critical Care Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD, and Program Manager, Defense Sciences Office, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, USA

Dr. Babak Kateb - Chairman of the Board, CEO, and Scientific Director, Society for Brain Mapping & Therapeutics, Director of National Centre for Nano-Bio-Electronics, and Research Scientist, Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, CA, USA

Lieutenant-General the Hon. Romeo A. Dallaire (Ret'd), Senator, he has had a distinguished career in the Canadian military, achieving the rank of Lieutenant-General and becoming Assistant Deputy Minister (Human Resources), Department of National Defence, and commanded the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR). Author of "Shake Hands with the Devil: The Failure at Humanity in Rwanda" and of "They fight like soldiers, they die like children".
