We are honored to announce that Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, one of the world’s leading neuropsychiatrists and thought leaders in the field of human mind and technology, will be a featured speaker at the 12th Annual N20 Summit – South Africa 2025.
In his keynote titled “Neurotech & AI Tech in Mental Health Care,” Prof. Tarhan will explore how neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and human-centered ethics converge to transform the future of mental well-being. Prof. Tarhan was born in 1952 in Merzifon, Türkiye. A graduate of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty and a former Colonel in the Turkish Armed Forces, he has built a lifelong career dedicated to understanding the human brain and spirit.
He founded NPISTANBUL Brain Hospital—Türkiye’s first neuropsychiatry hospital—and later Üsküdar University, which he established by donating all his personal assets. Today, Üsküdar University stands as a “brain base” with over 24,000 students and represents Türkiye as the first and only Turkish university participating in G20/N20 Summits.
With more than 300 scientific publications, 39 h-index, and over 6,000 citations, Prof. Tarhan is recognized globally for bridging science and spirituality, and for pioneering work in computational psychiatry, consciousness research, and the integration of technology with human psychology. His books have sold over one million copies and have been translated into multiple languages.
