In 2027, we celebrate 24 years of a brain-mapping movement that began with a NASA/JPL meeting in 2003. SBMT was formally founded in 2004. Today, the convention continues that mission: connecting science, technology, medicine and policy to improve diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

Looking ahead to 2027
A broader mix. More paths from discovery to partnership.
For 2027, we expect the audience mix to evolve through the addition of FinTech, stronger participation from venture capital firms and other investors, and a planned Startup Pavilion within the BTIP Venture District. Investors were already part of the 2026 audience; the next step is a more active role in showcases, startup conversations and the journey toward commercialization.

What is the 24th Annual Neurotech Convention 2027?
SBMT 2027 is a four-day convention organized by the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics. It connects neuroscience, brain mapping, advanced neurotechnology, AI, medicine, industry and clinical translation.
When and where is SBMT 2027?
The convention takes place March 14-17, 2027, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, West Hall A+B, 1201 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015.
What is The Neural Circuit?
The Neural Circuit is the connected event experience linking consortium sessions upstairs with SBMT Neurotech City downstairs. It brings together demonstrations, shared stage moments, meals, networking and follow-up conversations.
How do I attend, speak or sponsor?

Are workshops and pre-convention events included?
Paid consortium workshops, the BioSkills Lab, Brain Concert and Gathering for Cure Gala have separate registration pathways. Check your selected ticket or agreement for any applicable inclusions and discounts.
Is the program final?
Program is under further development. Final sessions, speakers, workshop availability, room assignments, exhibit layout and app functions will be confirmed as planning progresses.
What are the different BioSkills Labs?
The prospectus describes Neurovascular and Spine BioSkills Labs. Neurovascular training covers selected cranial procedures; spine training includes lumbar OLIF and cervical total disc replacement. The planned program is March 13, 2027, in a mobile lab outside the exhibit hall, with separate registration. Final faculty, stations and eligibility will be confirmed.
